United Utility Services Joins the K-Line Group


March 4, 2010 – Alberta-based United Utility Services Ltd., a high and low-voltage electrical and irrigation services contractor joined the K-Line Group of Companies effective February 24, 2010.  The acquisition expands K-Line’s presence in Alberta by adding low-voltage electrical and irrigation supply and installation services to its overhead lines electrical services division. 

K-Line Group of Companies co-owners Mark and Allan Kellett identified the need for additional electrical services in the Alberta marketplace.  K-Line Maintenance & Construction Ltd. along with United Utility Services (2010) Ltd. offers our respective industries a safety-minded, quality driven, turn-key services provider.

The K-Line Group of Companies will operate in Alberta as K-Line Maintenance & Construction Ltd. and will be led by Allen Moss, Manager – Alberta Operations. United Utiliity Services founder Carl Fortin will be staying on and continuing to work with K-Line and United Utility Services 2010 Ltd.   United Utility Services will continue to operate, providing electrical installation and maintenance services to Alberta customers. The K-Line/United Utilities Services operations centre is based in Brooks, Alberta.

The K-Line Group of Companies was founded in 1967 and is a privately-owned group of companies delivering high voltage electrical contracting, construction, engineering, and fleet services.  K-Line Maintenance & Construction Ltd. head office is located in Stouffville, Ontario and has operations in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta.
